A Taste of the Outback (3 Day Tour)

Experience a slice of country life and imagine life in earlier days with this tour full of country highlights.
Spend an afternoon at Highfields Pioneer Village, home to a unique patch of Australian history. Featuring gorgeous and stunning relics of the past, exhibits include the Heritage Chapel, Transport Museum, Fire Brigade & Ambulance Museum, village silversmith and toyshop. Spend a morning learning how Glengallan Homestead, once a derelict building, has been restored and rescued from ruin. At Bestbrook Mountain Resort join a wagon ride with a guide telling a few stories along the way, then wander through the Coach House grounds and stables. Stop also at Pringle Cottage, a collection of old buildings dating from 1870 onwards, showing a variety of furniture, clothing and implements illustrating how people used to live and work in the local area. On our homeward journey stop for lunch and time to explore the scenic Mary Cairncross Park.
