School Bus Services
Term 1, 2024 commences Monday 22nd January for most Fraser Coast Schools. If your child catches one of our school buses and you purchase a Term Pass, please organise this by Wednesday 17th January to ensure the pass will be available for your child by Monday 22nd.
Wide Bay Transit operates school bus services for the two major centres as well as outlying areas around the Fraser Coast.
Our school bus services cover:
• Maryborough
• Hervey Bay
• Howard & Torbanlea
• Burrum Heads, Toogoom, Craignish & Dundowran
• Bauple, Gundiah & Patterson
• Bidwell/Little Tinana
We also operate services in Glenwood and Nanango.
Our drivers are chosen carefully and take their responsibility for your children’s safety and well-being while travelling with us very seriously. Drivers are trained and operate under the Queensland Government Code of Conduct for School Students Travelling on Buses.
PLEASE NOTE: All Wide Bay Transit Urban and School services only accept cash payment, we currently have no facility for card payments. Term Passes and single use prepaid tickets can be purchased through our offices.

Subsidies
Depending upon your circumstances, you may be eligible for a government subsidy to assist with travel costs to and from school. In many cases, travel may be fully subsided and may will be free. More information and online applications can be found on the Qld Transport website.
