Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing Wide Bay Transit (WBT) or our sub company Bay Bus and Coach (BBC) as your transportation provider. By accepting a quotation, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions and are forming an agreement for associated services specified on your booking confirmation.
1. Quotations
- To receive an official quotation with WBT/BBC, please submit an online form via our website, phone or email to [email protected]. Our team will endeavour to respond within two business days, or you can contact our office on 4121 3719 or 4128 6411.
- Quotations are based on the provided route and information supplied and may be subject to alteration if itinerary changes occur. Prices are valid for 30 days from the date of quotation and include 10% GST. A quote does not guarantee vehicle availability for the quoted dates and times.
- WBT reserves the right to adjust rates due to factors beyond our control such as changing market conditions, product unavailability, parking charges, tolls and fuel.
2. Bookings & Amendments
- To accept our quotation, select your preferred quote option (if applicable), sign and return the quote via email.
- Booking requests are confirmed within 48 business hours only upon receipt of a booking confirmation. Contact our office if you do not receive a booking confirmation.
- Once a booking is confirmed, it is the customer’s responsibility to update WBT on itinerary and changes of passenger number adjustments.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to check the booking details are accurate and complete.
- The signatory, by confirming a WBT/BBC quotation, agrees to these Terms and Conditions and is accountable for change requests or cancellations
- It is your responsibility to contact WBT with final passenger numbers at least 48 hours prior to departure.
- Amendments are subject to availability and may incur updated pricing. Requests for amendments must be made via email and will be confirmed by us via email.
3. Bonds & Additional Charges & Deposits
- Some bookings may require an additional $100.00 cash bond (per coach) for potential extra cleaning, breakages or damages incurred during your charter. This is refundable if bus is left in reasonable condition.
- Overnight or multiple-day charters may require payment for suitable driver accommodation (single room/s) and meals, either arranged by you or arranged by WBT/BBC and charged to you.
- Prepayment in full may be required for Private or Personal events OR subject to prior arrangement a deposit of $250.00 to be paid, to be deducted from final invoice.
4. Repair/ Damage
- The group or individual on the booking confirmation is responsible for any damage caused by any passenger during the charter.
- The customer will not be responsible for damage caused by the actions of a WBT employee.
5. Cancellations
A. Cancellations more than 48 hours notice – No Charge
B. Cancellations on the day prior to travel – up to 50% of the charter cost
C. Cancellations on site or once the job has commenced – up to 100% of the charter costs
- WBT may, at its discretion, waive or reduce the cancellation fee if Hirer cancels the charter due to events outside the Hirer’s reasonable control.
Our Services
Wide Bay Transit provides several different bus and coach services for locals and visitors to the Fraser Coast region.
These include:
- Town and inter-town services covering Maryborough-Hervey Bay
- School bus services covering Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Burrum Heads, Torbanlea, Howard, Craignish, and Dundowran.
- Charter services for groups such as schools, sports clubs, social/community groups, and more.
- Day tours to events and attractions within our region or neighbouring regions
- Tilt-train link service between Maryborough-Hervey Bay
- Extended tours through our associated business Down Under Coach Tours
